Osees History
Osees, formerly known as The Oh Sees, originated in San Francisco in 1997, founded by John Dwyer. The band has evolved significantly over the years, both in terms of musical style and lineup. Initially, Osees started as a lo-fi garage rock project, drawing influences from punk and psychedelic music. Their early albums, such as 'The Master’s Bedroom Is Worth Spending a Night In' (2008) and 'Help' (2009), established them as a prominent force in the underground music scene. As they transitioned into the 2010s, Osees began to experiment more with their sound, incorporating elements of noise rock, post-punk, and even pop sensibilities. The band has been known for its prolific output, releasing multiple albums each year, and their live performances have gained a reputation for being high-energy and immersive experiences. Osees has consistently toured extensively, captivating audiences with their dynamic stage presence and innovative soundscapes. Their ability to evolve while maintaining a core identity has allowed them to stay relevant in the ever-changing music landscape.
