The Grambling State Tigers represent Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana, and the team is a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The history of the Tigers dates back to 1926 when the university was founded, and they fielded their first football team in 1937. Under the leadership of legendary coach Eddie Robinson, who started coaching in 1941, the Tigers gained national prominence.
