    The Grambling State Tigers represent Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana, and the team is a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The history of the Tigers dates back to 1926 when the university was founded, and they fielded their first football team in 1937. Under the leadership of legendary coach Eddie Robinson, who started coaching in 1941, the Tigers gained national prominence. Robinson's tenure lasted for 57 years, during which he became one of the most successful coaches in college football history, amassing 408 wins and guiding the team to 17 SWAC championships and 9 Black College National Championships. The program is renowned for producing a plethora of NFL players, including legends like Doug Williams, the first African American quarterback to win a Super Bowl, and Hall of Famers such as Willie Brown and Charlie Joiner.
